Did you know we make perfumes from the 1940's?
Vanilla Plum is our interpretation of Femme by Rochas--the nose is the legendary Edmond Roudnitska who created Femme in 1943 (the same year my Father was born). With a strong Plum note throughout the drydown juxtaposed with the harmonious fruit and wood notes, it became quite popular in the 1940's. As World War II ended in 1945, American GI's were coming home to women who wore Femme. It became what people called "the smell of victory". Our version is less powdery and we introduced a beautuful chocolate-vanilla accord into the composition.
